Entry #3: Relaxation
The following is a descriptive piece on an object. Your goal is to guess what the object I am describing is. I had been working for some time now, and I needed a pick me up. The packaging had a smooth, plastic feel to it. It was a deep, ocean blue, the type of blue that was like Antarctica's black, freezing water. The package made a crackling noise as I ripped it open. Several white, life preserver shaped rings were at the very bottom. Unfortunately, two thirds of the packaging was dominated by air. I seized one of the rings. Opening the packaging was surprisingly difficult, but after a few seconds, the white ring was released from its prison and I popped it in my mouth.
Suddenly, my brain stopped. The sensation was of complete tranquility. My thoughts were wiped away and were replaced by ones that were only of the task at hand. The keyboard clicked more than ever as my mind raced faster and faster. The dissolving ring melted in my mouth as it stood on my tongue. Eventually, the life preserver lost all of its depth and became a 2D shape. It's time. I began to bite. The juicy favor had been fully released, coating my throat in frost. By that point, the task was over. I could rest.
What do you think I was describing? To me, it's quite obvious. Hopefully, that’s only because I wrote it. I hope you enjoyed the description. Have a nice day!
Hint: It's not gum
Lifesaver mints. Good job of using sensory details to illustrate the experience of eating this mint.
